Flexible Robotic Surgical System Overview

The Flexible Robotic Surgical System will transform the GI and Surgical landscape. With its unprecedented flexibility, advanced instrumentation, and ergonomic design, the system enables endoluminal and single-incision procedures that were never before possible.

Patient Cart

With excellent mobility and maneuverability, the Patient Cart positions the robotically controlled videoscope and EndoDrive^™ precisely where they are needed for optimal access.

Instruments / Videoscope

Enhanced dexterity and precision in narrow endoluminal anatomy are enabled by two 6mm flexible robotic instruments, providing triangulation and articulation with up to 7 degrees of freedom. Full visualization of the surgical site is provided using a 3.7mm high definition robotic camera.

EndoDrive^™

The flexible, steerable EndoDrive^™ enables two robotic instruments and the videoscope to access the target site. In addition, the EndoDrive^™ features additional channels enabling insufflation, suction, irrigation, and third party accessory devices to be used.

Removable Touchpad

The Removable Touchpad allows the clinical staff to maneuver the Patient Cart while standing at an optimal viewing point for ease of docking.

Positioning Arm

The Positioning Arm adjusts the height and angle of the Patient Cart to provide optimal access to the patient as well as allow a convenient stow position when not in use.

Mobile Base Cart

The mobile base cart allows for ease of procedure set up and for moving from room to room.

Physician Console

Ergonomically designed, the Physician Console’s digital interface mimics the physician’s hand movement with flexible instruments inside the patient that offers unprecedented precision and control throughout the procedure.

Heads-Up HD Monitor

The High-Definition Monitor provides the physician with exceptional visualization and magnification of the surgical field with comfortable heads-up viewing and a graphic user interface with detailed information for the physician.

Hand Controller

The Hand Controllers enable the physician to operate with a natural, fluid movement and operate the surgical instruments and control the position of the EndoDrive^™ and the Videoscope.

Foot Pedals

The Foot Pedals enable the physician to control the electrosurgical unit (ESU) as well as the position of the EndoDrive^™ and Videoscope.

Armrest

The physician is able to sit comfortably at the console with their hands in an ergonomic position with their forearms relaxed on the armrests.
